The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has issued an invitation to graduate engineers and postgraduates in science for the hiring of 630 scientist B positions. Only online applications through the DRDO’s Recruitment and Assessment Centre’s (RAC) official website, rac.gov.in
Depending on the selection method listed against their desired post, candidates will either be shortlisted based on their GATE scores by a screening committee or a written test followed by a round of personal interviews. Following the start of the procedure, the application link will be live for 21 days.
Educational Qualification: To be eligible for the recruitment, the candidates must have a valid GATE scorecard in the subject relevant to the specialisation of the post. Other education qualification criteria vary from host to host.
Age Limit: Depending on the position, the recruiting age ranges from 28 to 35 years. Additional candidates from the reserved categories have received a 10-year relaxation. Candidates who are currently employed by the Central Government in positions in the same or related cadres may apply with a five-year age relaxation.
Selection Process
The final selection of the candidates will be made only on the basis of discipline-specific, category-specific merit, which will account for an aggregate of 80% of the marks awarded in the written test (for certain posts) and 20% of the marks awarded in the personal interview. The ultimate selection of candidates for subjects without written exams will be based on the discipline- and category-specific aggregate merit of the GATE score, which will account for 80% of the weight, and the interview marks, which will account for 20% of the weight.
