Zoologist, Terrarium artist, Nature conservationist, an honorary doctorate degree holder in terrarium making,a Vlogger.
I prepared my 1st terrarium 6 years ago just because I was curious and used all the household items for that. It was a big hit since then. I founded Terrarium Ecosystems in Akola, maharashtra and started selling the terrarium and its types. I am the Pioneer of terrarium making in Akola. Here the climate being very dry and hot,maintaining a terrarium in itself is very challenging but by various experimentations and my scientific knowledge, I was able to do so. From making people aware of what a terrarium is to making it a common to-go item, Akola has seen it all. I’m also specialized in building a Paludarium, Vivarium, Mini waterfalls, Mini gardens, thematic terrariums that is mossariums, cactariums or of succulents. I have conducted many workshops, seminars for various colleges and institutions on terrarium building. I own a YouTube channel called Pallavi’s Ecogardens where I feature small plant care and maintenance videos and to motivate people for gardening and to applaud the existing plant parents for their hard work have started a talk show called ‘Garden Gappa’ which features various gardens of a Akola along with their plant parents.
I’m organizing the 1st ever Eco Exhibition in a Akola featuring Terrariums,green gifts, plants and more. It will be 1st of its kind here. My plans for the future are spreading awareness about the nature and organizing more workshops for it.
I like to read, compose poems, gardening and connecting with people. I have started a movement called “Green gifts” in Akola wherein we motivate people to give plants as gifts and take only plants as gifts. I have introduced a pocket friendly range which starts from ₹300. I tried out very innovative ideas in terrarium making.Being the Pioneer of Terrarium making in Akola, it was very hard to convince people at the start that we use live plants in terrariums and these are very low in maintenance and if properly maintain a close terrarium by the given instructions,a Closed terrarium requires zero watering and handling is also very easy. I’m Ex headmistress and a teacher too and Vice President to various Institutes.
I love to spread awareness about Nature in people and will be working on the same.
