Shrikant Tyagi, who was detained last month in Noida after being accused of assaulting a lady, was granted bail by a local court on Thursday. Tyagi had already been granted bail in connection with three instances, but he remained behind bars since the Delhi Police had charged him under the Gangster Act. In the other case, Shrikant Tyagi was given bail on Thursday by a Prayagraj court.
For hitting and verbally harassing a woman on the grounds of Grand Omaxe in Noida Sector 93B on August 5, Shrikant Tyagi was detained on August 9. When Tyagi planted a few trees, the woman said it was against the law, even though Tyagi said it was his right to do so. This led to an argument.
In total, 12 police teams and the Uttar Pradesh STF searched three states for Shrikant Tyagi. The cops apprehended him and three of his pals after tracking him to Meerut.
Shrikant Tyagi was accused of breaking sections 354 (offending a woman’s modesty and assault), 447 (criminal trespass), 323 (willfully causing harm), 504 (intentional insult), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
He was later charged with cheating and impersonation under sections 419 (cheating by personation) and 482 (false property mark) of the Indian Penal Code for putting the insignia and monograms of the Uttar Pradesh government on his automobiles (IPC).
