Bengaluru Police arrested a woman and two of her friends for assaulting and killing her doctor-boyfriend after he had shared her nude images on social media. Officials are searching for another accused who is absconding.
After finding that her doctor boyfriend had posted her naked photos on social media, a woman and three of her friends attacked him in Bengaluru. On September 14, he passed away while undergoing therapy.
While another suspect, Surya, remains on the run, the police detained Prathipa and her two pals, Sushil and Gautham.
NAKED PHOTOS, CONTEXT
Vikash (27), a native of Chennai, completed his MBBS in Ukraine. He moved to Bengaluru about four months before he took the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) there.
He was engaged to be married and had been in a relationship with Prathipa for two years. However, he had created a social media account in one of his friends’ names and posted pictures of Prathipa in her undies there.
Additionally, he allegedly sent it to his Tamil Nadu-based acquaintances. On September 8, Prathipa found the pictures on social media and confronted Vikash about them. Vikash said he had taken the pictures for amusement at the time. The issue led to a quarrel between the two of them.
Woman Acknowledges Ignorance
She told her classmate Sushil about the situation, and together they recruited Gautham and Surya to give Vikash a lesson.
On September 10, they came up with a plan, and Prathipa drove Vikash to Sushil’s home in Mico Layout. They used their hands, a water bottle, and a mop to beat him up. They hurried him to the hospital because they had no intention of killing him.
Then, Prathipa told Vijay, Vikash’s brother, about the assault and the images. She asserted that she had left to answer a phone call and that she had returned to find him lying still.
The probe reveals the reality.
As a result, Vijay reported an attempted murder, and Begur police inspector Anil Kumar and his colleagues got to work on their investigation. The victim, Vikash, fell into a coma and died on September 14 while he was being treated.
Following that, the attempted murder case was upgraded to a murder investigation, and on September 16, police detained Prathipa. Vikash’s family was shocked by her detention because the two were engaged to be married, according to the Deccan Herald. In addition, she had asserted her innocence in front of the Vikahs family and the police.
