If we were to say that DJ Krosfader is captivating the world with his music, it would be correct but it wouldn’t quite fit right. Maybe this is because that statement is a little too simple and fails to inculcate the uniqueness and whimsical nature of his sound. Or maybe because it does not quite capture the essence of his music. According to him, it is music connects people and brings solace in times of uncertainty and isolation. That is exactly what he wants to do.
Despite the talent pool in the music industry getting larger by the day, Kushagra, known as DJ Krosfader has managed to hold his place and stand out for a decade. He started his journey in 2012 and has achieved new bounds of success with every step. He started as a DJ and has gone on to produce music. He first started gaining popularity and attention across different nightclubs for his remixes and private edits which had a carefully selected balance of Bollywood, EDM and hip hop music. Lately, he has also been gaining popularity from his live mashup reels on Instagram where he brings an amalgamation of Bollywood songs with the world’s pop music. He has performed at some of the biggest clubs in India and abroad and has shared the stage with several big names like Rannvijay Singha, Nikhil Chinapa as well as DJ Chetas. His perseverance and passion for music is truly inspiring and his vision is something larger than just your average person’s. He boasts superstar talent, but humility still abounds which is something that sets him apart from the rest. When asked what keeps him grounded, he mentioned that the love and support from his audience and seeing the crowd happy gives him a much-needed push in hard times.
Krosfader has recently come out with his track Can you rock my world which has been quick to rise up in the charts and gain popularity. His sound has resonated with people worldwide and apart from this he has several other EDM house track releases like Giving up on love, In my head, and You drive me crazy. Apart from this, he has released remixes of popular songs by artists like- Justin Bieber, Makeba, Nicky Minaj, Hardwell, Drake, Sidhu Moosewala etc. The type of art he is into is open to interpretation and is raw. He aims for relatability and quality instead of perfection. For him, achieving perfection might take away from the relatability of his content and the more undone his work is, the more it becomes relatable.
