In a horrifying murder-suicide that occurred on Wednesday in Maharashtra’s Palghar district, a man is accused of killing a 21-year-old woman before jumping in front of a moving car, according to police.
Neha Mahato was killed when Srikrishna Yadav, a 26-year-old male, shot her in the head at close range on a roadway in Boisar Town. He then leaped in front of a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) truck, was taken to a hospital, and later died from his severe injuries.
The shooting incident was recorded by a neighbouring CCTV camera. Police believe that the tragedy was caused by the deceased’s alleged love affair. According to Suresh Kadam, a senior inspector at the Boisar Police Station, the event happened on Wednesday about 3.30 p.m.
According to Kadam, the woman’s body was sent to a government hospital for a post-mortem, and a case was filed under the Arms Act and section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for murder.
