Sunaina Sindhwani was born in a middle class family in Rohtak, Haryana. She is very ambitious and hard working since her childhood. She always dreamt high and wanted to become a medical doctor by profession. Sunaina was a throughout topper in her academics. Along with that Sunaina exceled in sports and other extra-curricular activities too. Sunaina always had a passion for singing and performed in various State Level Singing competitions too. Sunaina did her graduation from Govt College of Girls and received a Gold Medal for her academic performance in all over Haryana. Her phenomenal journey of academics landed her at Chandigarh Home Science College, obtaining the only seat available in the field of Nutrition in the entire state. She passed her Masters in Food and Nutrition and then joined PGIMER, Chandigarh as a Diet Consultant.

Though Sunaina was really doing well in her field but her dream of serving others was still haunting her. One special day, her dream came true as she became a partner with a popular Day Spa and Nutrition chain. Sunaina worked day and night to grow her company and has been facilitated as the Best Director several times. Sunaina worked as a business entrepreneur for 10 years and became a popular name I the world of Spa and Nutrition. But life is not a fairy tale, a major setback came to Sunaina’s life when she got diagnosed with Clinical Depression accompanied with short term memory loss too. Everything in Sunaina’s life went upside down.

This revelation shocked Sunaina’s husband to the core and while he struggled to come to terms with this news, Sunaina’s kids were too young to comprehend what had actually happened. Every new morning brought its own set of struggles which Sunaina and her family would overcome with their strength and love for each other. The only relationships she remembered were of her parents and her younger sister. Her old parents were in real pain seeing their daughter struggling with normal day to day activities which she would usually finish in no time. They were trying to help her in their own way by trying to make her smile and cheer up. A strong female who was doing so well in all aspects of life was now down bad. The whole family was ‘in shock’ as Sunaina’s condition was not improving but rather worsening.

In 2014, Sunaina’s husband Vinay decided to take her to Calgary, Canada where her sister used to live in hopes for better treatment options. Eventually, some positive signs started reflecting in Sunaina’s health however she had lost all hopes and desires. She started finding comfort in her own little shell.As they say, Family is the real beauty and strength in one’s life, such was the case for Sunaina too. Her young kids and husband too great care of her. They supported her day and night and encouraged her to go for medical counselling’s with all their undying effort.

In 2016, Sunaina was now fully recovered from this deadly disease. She started stepping out of her house, her confidence was slowly coming back. Sunaina started doing Buddhism practices, which was introduced by one of her friends to her. She strongly believes in Nichiren Daishonin philosophies and became a regular practitioner of Lotus Sutra, ‘Na-Myo-Ho-Range-Kyo’ and with regular chanting practices, miraculous changes started happening in her life. With time, things started falling into place. In 2016, Sunaina got a job offer in Surrey, Vancouver where she joined as a part time counsellor for wellness. Sunaina was gaining her confidence back though at a very slow pace. September 28, 2016 a news came to Sunaina which shook her completely. She lost her best friend Sakshi in India and this news devastated Sunaina. She started having anxiety attacks again and all she wanted was to go back to India. Sunaina got hospitalized and when her psychiatrist counselled her and asked her the only reply she gave was she wanted to visit her late friend’s house to see how her kids were doing as they were young.

Finally, Sunaina reached India but was advised to stay at home for a little while initially.After sometime, she visited her friend’s house and met her kids. Sunaina was still coping with Sakshi’s death and her mind was clouded with questions related to her death. However, all her questions were answered when Sakshi’s husband came to Sunaina’s home and handed her a diary written by Sakshi. That whole night Sunaina could not sleep for one second. All she could think about was how she should write about Sakshi’s challenges and her battles with sexual exploitation which might help out other women who might be going through the same thing.

Finally, after winning the battles over her own mental health challenges, March 2017, Sunaina came out with her debut novel, ‘I Breathe Last for You’ which got published by Tell Well, Vancouver. This novel got huge appreciation on all global platforms. Sunaina got awarded as a Best Debut Author by Glorious Awards also.

Life gave a second chance to Sunaina and she started getting offers for content writing and she joined as a Content writer for magazine Times of Canada, Aarzu magazine, Skin Possible and many more. Now Sunaina stated working as full time author and writer in Canada.In 2020, she got invited by a NGO Akshardeep Foundation, working for children and women empowerment. Sunaina joined a new position as an Advisor and started counseling children and women who were victims of abuse. One day Sunaina met a woman, Tina, a bisexual woman, who shared her life journey with Sunaina .Her life journey as a bisexual women was so heart trenching that it made Sunaina realized that how much struggles and challenges LGBTQIA are facing to get acceptance and dignity in our society.Even after coming back, Tina was always in her mind and one fine day, on December 16th, 2021, Sunaina prelaunched her second novel, The Purple Couch, a real story of a bisexual woman.

This journey was not as easy as it seemed to Sunaina. She thought she would get welcoming response from all renowned publishers but no one came forward to talk about this controversial issue through their platforms. Sunaina did not lose hope. She met with founder of various organizations working for LGBTQIA and she started speaking about the rights of this community as a Guests Speaker on various platforms to create awareness among society. Many news channels like News 18, News 24, and Punjab News interviewed Sunaina for her courageous step in the field of literature and supported her noble cause.Fortunately , Hollistic Publishing house ,who host The Great India Book Tour, also called TGIBT,got ready to publish and on December 17th ,2022 , a grand launch of the novel The Purple Couch was done by Mr. Ram Dass Athawale , Minister of Justice and Women Empowerment , at a grand premium award show MSME Star Award Show ,2022, at Hotel Holiday Inn, Delhi. Sunaina got awarded as a Best Social Author for her unmatchable contribution to society through her work of literature.The Purple Couch got featured by many news channels; Aaj Tak, News 24/7, Bharat News, MH 1, News 18, News24 and many you tube channels. This novel loudly speaks about the fear of LGBTQIA community to get acceptance by our society.

Through this novel, Sunaina has tried to put forward the pain and agony of a bisexual woman and dedicated this novel to LGBTQIA.Sunaina Sindhwani strongly believes in helping and serving our society by best possible ways, someone can does. Sunaina says that Life is meant to be grateful and we have no right to judge someone. We all have born with a purpose in our lives and we should focus all our energies and efforts to fulfill that purpose.At the end, Sunaina wants to give one strong message to everyone that ‘Be Grateful for what you have, Accept the way, you are. Everything starts from us. Each Breath Counts and Everyone has an equal right to live as they want to be’.
