As reported by MBW in January, Indian music record label company LYFA Records was acquired by Indian-based Distribution and services company PAPL in 2022.
Now as part of this 100% acquisition, LYFA Records has rebranded as PAPL Music India.
The 2022 acquisition covered all music rights of LYFA Records.
The company’s catalog includes non-film music as well as Bollywood film music across sub-genres such as regional, pop, classical, ghazals, qawwalis, devotional and instrumental.
Naresh Narayan, Director, PAPL said: “This rebranding exercise represents a significant step in the company’s evolution.
“The reputation and equity built by LYFA Records over the years is an asset for PAPL Music India and with this rebranding, it will evolve the service offerings through new content creation, independent artist association, promotions across television and media, music distribution and other media in India and overseas markets.
“We are also looking at leveraging the catalog to promote and support talent as well as music”.
