New Delhi: In a shocking incident aboard an Air India flight from Mumbai to Delhi, a passenger has been apprehended for allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior by defecating and urinating on the floor while the aircraft was mid-air. The distressing event took place on June 24, specifically on flight AIC 866, as confirmed by the police.
According to the filed First Information Report (FIR), the passenger responsible for the incident has been identified as Ram Singh, who occupied seat 17F. The FIR detailed that Singh not only defecated and urinated but also spat in row 9 of the aircraft.
As soon as the cabin crew became aware of Singh’s reprehensible actions, they promptly issued a verbal warning and immediately isolated him from the rest of the passengers. The pilot-in-command was promptly informed of the situation, and a request for security assistance upon arrival was swiftly conveyed to the airline company. The filed FIR mentioned that the disruptive act left several passengers agitated and disturbed by the incident.
Upon landing, the head of Air India security was present to escort the accused passenger, Ram Singh, to the local police station. A case has been registered against him under sections 294 (related to obscene acts) and 510 (concerning misconduct in public by a person under the influence of alcohol) of the Indian Penal Code. The swift response by the airline and law enforcement authorities ensured that appropriate measures were taken to address the incident and uphold the safety and comfort of the passengers.
