Bhadrak: A police constable was found hanging at his government quarters in Tihidi area of Odisha’s Bhadrak district, today.
The deceased was identified as Tofan Kumar Patra of Keonjhar. He was posted at the Tihidi police station and residing in the quarters alone.
According to reports, Patra went to the quarters at around 1 am after completion of his duty. Shockingly, his neighbours spotted him in a hanging state inside the house this morning and informed the police.
Cops have recovered the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances under which he died.
Though the reason behind the death was yet to be known, it is being suspected that he might have died by suicide.
