What Is the Privacy Policy?

This Policy explains the purpose and scope of the Site’s data practices and reflects our commitment to safeguarding visitor personal information. It should be read together with the Terms of Use. Amendments become effective immediately upon posting to the Site; posting on the Site constitutes notice, and visitors are responsible for reviewing this Policy periodically. This Policy applies only to Crazy Time Guide. Third-party casinos reached via referral links on the Site maintain their own privacy policies, which govern their handling of personal information and for which we are not responsible.

Personal Information We Collect

The Site may collect the following categories of personal information, including without limitation:

•  name or nickname submitted via contact forms, newsletter signups or comments;

•  email address, for correspondence and newsletter delivery;

•  the content of enquiries, feedback and correspondence sent to us;

•  IP address and approximate location derived from it;

•  device and browser information (type, version, operating system, language);

•  cookie identifiers and analytics identifiers.

The Site does not collect payment-card data, government-issued identification documents, or betting and account data. Such information is handled by the casinos with which the visitor registers, under those casinos’ own privacy policies.

How We Collect Personal Information

Personal information is collected by lawful and fair means, directly from the visitor wherever practicable. Direct collection points include:

•  submitting a contact form on the Site;

•  subscribing to the newsletter;

•  leaving a comment on a review or guide;

•  corresponding with us by email.

Certain information is collected automatically when the Site is used:

Why We Collect, Hold, Use and Disclose Personal Information

Personal information is used only for legitimate purposes connected with the operation of the Site, including:

•  sending the newsletter to visitors who have subscribed, with an opt-out link in every mailing;

•  creating aggregate statistics that do not identify individuals;

•  complying with legal and statutory obligations under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 with the SPDI Rules, 2011 where applicable.

To Whom Personal Information Is Disclosed

We do not sell personal information to other companies. Personal information may be disclosed to:

•  contractors and external service providers, including web hosting and data-centre providers, analytics providers, email and newsletter service providers, IT consultants, and professional advisors;

•  affiliate partner casinos, which receive only non-identifying click and referral data — never the visitor’s name or email address;

•  law enforcement agencies and government or regulatory authorities, where disclosure is required or authorised by law;

•  a successor entity in the event of a business transition such as a merger, reorganisation, or asset purchase.

Reasonable endeavours are made to protect disclosed data through contractual arrangements with third parties requiring appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

Security of Personal Information

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are taken to protect personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction, and to keep it accurate, complete and up-to-date. Data is held on secure servers, and access is limited to personnel who need it for their duties and are bound by confidentiality obligations. The Site is served over an encrypted TLS connection. The Site does not collect, store or process payment-card credentials at any point. Visitors are responsible for the security of their own device, browser and email account, including protecting passwords used to access those. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is entirely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Access to and Correcting Personal Information

Reasonable steps are taken to keep personal information accurate, up-to-date, complete and relevant. In line with the DPDP Act, visitors have the right to:

•  request access to their personal data held by the Site;

•  request correction, completion or updating of inaccurate data;

•  request erasure of data where retention is no longer necessary;

•  withdraw consent — for example, by unsubscribing from the newsletter via the link in any mailing;

•  lodge a grievance with the Grievance Officer (see Complaints & Contact below).

Requests should be sent to [email protected], specifying the information concerned. We may seek reasonable verification of identity before actioning a request. Requests are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 30 days, subject to the nature and complexity of the request.

Overseas Transfer of Personal Information

Personal information may be stored or processed outside India where the Site’s hosting, analytics or email service providers operate servers overseas, or where required or authorised by law. Recipient categories located outside the visitor’s country of residence typically include:

•  the hosting provider;

•  analytics providers;

•  the email and newsletter service provider.

Such providers are commonly located in the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions where major cloud services operate. Transfers are made with reasonable safeguards and in accordance with applicable Indian law.

Unsolicited Personal Information

Where personal information is received unsolicited — for example, sent by email without any prior request — the Site determines whether the information could lawfully have been collected had it been solicited. If not, and to the extent permitted by law, the Site destroys or de-identifies the information as soon as practicable.

Non-Personal Information

The Site collects non-personal information from website use in order to administer the Site, track usage patterns and enhance the visitor experience. This includes pages viewed, time spent on pages, referral sources, device and browser types, and aggregate click volumes on outbound links to casino websites. Non-personal information gathered through cookies, log files or web beacons is used to understand which reviews and guides visitors find useful, tailor content accordingly, and maintain an audit trail that helps identify improper activity on the Site. Such information does not identify individual visitors and is used for statistical and operational purposes only.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of data placed on a visitor’s device by the browser and used to improve site experience, remember visitor preferences, and record navigation history. The Site uses cookies to:

•  remember preferences and frequently visited pages;

•  measure visits and traffic sources;

•  support internal site management and diagnostics;

•  ensure pages display correctly across devices and browsers.

Cookies placed by the Site are not used to store passwords, payment details, or any account credentials. Visitors can delete cookies through the browser’s Clear History or equivalent function, and can reset the browser to refuse cookies or warn each time one is being sent. Some features of the Site may not work as intended without cookies enabled, and preferences may need to be reset on each visit.

Third-Party Cookies

Third parties — including analytics providers, advertising networks and affiliate networks — may place and read cookies, action tags and similar technologies through the Site. These are used to measure traffic, attribute referrals to partner casinos, and, where applicable, serve or optimise advertising based on past visits, including remarketing. Visitors can limit third-party cookies through the cookie controls available in their browser, and through the ad-personalisation or ad-preference settings offered by their device and browser. Adjusting these settings will not stop advertising altogether, but will reduce the extent to which it is targeted based on browsing activity.

Grievances are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days, per the IT Rules, 2021. Unresolved complaints may be escalated to the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act.
